1 Overview
The MT160 instrument is an intelligent ultrasonic thickness gauge, using high-performance, low-power microprocessor technology, based on the principle of ultrasonic measurement, can measure the thickness of metals and other materials, and can measure the speed of sound of materials. It can monitor various pipes and pressure vessels in the production equipment, monitor the degree of thinning after they are corroded during use, and can also make accurate measurements on various plates and various processed parts. This instrument can be widely used in various fields such as petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, shipbuilding, aviation and aerospace.

3 main functions
Suitable for measuring the thickness of metals (such as steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, etc.), plastics, ceramics, glass, glass fibers and any other good conductors of ultrasound;

4 working principle
The thickness measurement of this ultrasonic thickness gauge is that the ultrasonic pulse generated by the probe passes through the couplant to reach the measured body. Part of the ultrasonic signal is reflected by the bottom surface of the object. The probe receives the echo reflected by the bottom surface of the measured body and accurately calculates the ultrasonic wave. Round trip time, and calculate the thickness value according to the following formula, and then display the calculated result.

7 Main display interface
After the instrument is turned on, it will automatically enter the main display interface, as shown in the figure below:
Coupling state: the coupling state of the probe and the workpiece under test
Unit system: MM, M/S (in metric system), or IN, IN/μS (in English system)
Battery power: display of remaining battery power
Information display: display the thickness measurement value and simple operation prompt information.
