·Selective AC and DC functions are built into a reliable instrument. The AC mode generates a strong AC magnetic field, which is used to detect surface defects and check demagnetization. The DC mode generates a strong half-wave rectification (DC) field, which is used to detect some subsurface defects.
· Control and solid-state electronics are contained in a high-impact molded housing. In the laboratory, factory or field, the flexible joint legs allow AC or DC magnetic fields to be applied to the exact inspection area of almost any surface shape.
